Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. In Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases caused an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding DUI instances. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. Her work in Charleston has led to her serving as a co-anchor, reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before she joined Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as the weekend anchor for NBC. Her current position as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She has reported on events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals shows at The Emmys.
